Tuesday, March 4, 2014 - 3:00pm to 8:00pm

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s (PHS) Philadelphia Flower Show is an annual event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in March. It is the world’s oldest and largest indoor flower show, attracting more than 260,000 people annually. The show features large-scale gardens, elaborate landscapes, and over-the-top floral creations. Visitors to the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show are treated to fabulous design, live entertainment, culinary demonstrations, gardening how-to workshops, and lectures by experts. Proceeds from the show support PHS, particularly the City Harvest program, which feeds more than 1,200 families each week during the growing season. You’re invited to experience the combination of art and horticulture as the 185th PHS Philadelphia Flower Show celebrates everyone from Michelangelo to Monet, Picasso to Pollock, and da Vinci to Dali. ARTiculture will be unveiled March 1, 2014, and the library is once again sponsoring a bus trip to this year’s show. The bus will depart the library parking lot at 3:00pm sharp and will leave the Convention Center at 8:00pm sharp. The cost of $50 per person will include round-trip transportation, admission ticket, and the driver’s tip. Tickets are payable in advance by Friday, February 28. Make checks payable to the Franklin Township Library. If paying with cash, please have the exact amount available. There will be no refunds. Support your library by reserving your seat for the annual bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show. Space is very limited so stop by or call the library now at (856) 694-2833.
